The Challenge

Video communication with network firewalls can require the opening and closing of multiple communication ports during a single session. Even when a port can be securely opened, essential features such as encryption are lost. This has largely prevented the placing of affordable, external video calls.

CISCO’s Expressway solution employs a CISCO Border Controller to create a secure path through firewalls without compromising your IP security. With support for URI dialing, it also implements a global, dial plan, making it possible to dial out for communication with suppliers, customers and home office workers.
