Global comms go cruising

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

Saville Audio Visual has installed videoconferencing technology and digital signage systems for one of the world’s leading cruise ship’s operators, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

Within the boardroom at RCL Cruises Ltd.’s Surrey office complex, we installed a Polycom HDX8000 conferencing system, capable of communicating with other RCL locations worldwide and global media for news announcements. System control is provided through an AMX 8400 touch screen installed within a wall mounted docking station. To avoid fixed microphones, we selected a Revolabs 8-channel executive wireless system. A TV-One Picture-in-Picture system was also incorporated to allow four individual inputs to be displayed simultaneously on an 84” EVOS LCD screen.  

RCL Cruises Ltd. International Managing Director’s office was fitted with two 42” LCD screens for use with an additional Polycom HDX800 HD VC system. The system, with additional laptop and digital inputs, supports full connectivity with the entire worldwide office network worldwide and senior persons on-board RCL’s cruise ships.
