Saville Audio Visual is an active Member of the International Communications Industries
Association, the world’s leading trade body for the audio visual industry. The company is fully committed to the training and qualification process provided by ICIA and aims to achieve the highest possible standard through the award of CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) status to its customer-facing technical staff.
ICIA has offered its certification programme for over twenty years and every year certifies more qualified professionals in the AV industry worldwide than any other organisation. The qualification is recognised by the National Certification Commission.
The CTS certificate is awarded to AV professionals who have demonstrated knowledge and comprehension of the science and technology used in communications including audio, video, display and systems. Individuals must also agree to a Code of Ethics pledging truth, accuracy and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of their work.
Competence
Awareness
and Training
Saville recognises
that training
is an important
tool in securing
competence
and that
a trained employee
is able to
work confidently,
knowing and
understanding
what the work
involves, why
it is being
carried out,
the effects
on quality
and the environment
and how work
should be done
in safety.
To ensure that all staff make the appropriate contribution, we ensure that they are competent to do so. This applies to senior management, other managers, supervisors and employees alike. Competence levels are defined as education; skills and experience and internal/external training. We recognise that training brings wider benefits than just securing competence and we strive to maintain minimum quality, health and safety and environment standards for all our staff, clients and contractors.
Repeat training (either on the job, in a classroom or equivalent environment) is provided at regular intervals and details are documented of training given and received. All Saville technical staff are trained to a high level in accordance with the specific needs associated to their roles.
