Observational System - Saville Observa
Interview recording & behavioural
observation systems made VERY simple
Complicated observation systems are a thing of the past, thanks
to intuitive and versatile new technology from Saville and Sanyo.
This new observational system eliminates the need for a complicated
and button-ridden control interface, by utilising a simple, custom
programmed, touch screen and joystick controller.
Fingertip
control
The LCD screen on the control unit features an integrated touch
facility with a graphical user interface. System set-up and operation
is as easy as pressing the on-screen menu buttons. The built-in joystick
provides simple, accurate control of remote PTZ dome cameras, DVRs and
other controller-linked system elements.
Whatever your requirements, we guarantee to provide the screen that meets your needs and your budget exactly. We also design and manufacture custom-built screens for installation.
Other Options
The system described is only one of many
observation and monitoring options that we can
offer. We can also provide small, single camera
systems for recording trainee GP consultations and other small
group activities.
Saville also provide remote medical theatre camera links and
our technical team has experience in the
installation and transmission of video both on and
off LAN networks in standard or Full High Definition.

Wortley Beck Health
Centre Observa System Case
Study

Wortley Beck Health Centre is a one-stop shop
for health, providing several key medical services under
one roof.
To provide observation and monitoring facilities for
therapy sessions, we configured a Saville Observa
observation system comprising two 360 degree
ceiling-mounted dome colour cameras. Installed
alongside a two-way mirror, the system enables staff
to monitor and record sessions in real time with the
choice of recording from either camera onto a digital
DVD recorder.
Talkback
A high performance Clockaudio microphone automixer
was installed to manage multiple ceiling and
wall microphones, strategically placed to cover both
the family and play areas. A wireless talkback system
allows the system operator to speak to the therapist
who can hear these instructions via a discreet earpiece.
The equipment is fitted inside a custom-built Saville
desk unit, enabling the complete system to be locked
away securely, but still be accessible and
ergonomically correct when required for use. The
system greatly simplifies effective observation and
recording and allows
even non-technical
users to quickly
master its operation.
