The multifunctional room has been equipped with forty bespoke IT desks, designed by Saville and equipped with revolutionary beyerdynamic Revoluto microphones plus networking for participants’ laptops. The output from any laptop can be routed to the main screen via the chairman’s table, using SMART Synchroneyes software. The Revoluto units include integral loudspeakers to provide PA sound at each station, plus simple, one-button operation.
The main image display is delivered by a 4000
lumen Sanyo projector on to a 2.4m wide
bespoke Saville screen, with screen sound playback
via Quad wall speakers. The system includes an
additional interactive touch screen plasma, an
AMX wireless control system and an infra red
induction loop system for those with impaired
hearing and for use in simultaneous translation.
A further facility is the ability to capture audio
recordings of meetings direct to PC using
beyerdynamic’s steno-S digital recording software.
"For over twenty years Saville has been of paramount
importance in providing us with high end audio visual
design and solutions. From teaching solutions such as
standard projector and fixed equipment installations...
through to highly complex, bespoke meeting rooms
incorporating sophisticated software control, their
design teams, technicians and engineers have never let
the University or myself down and their standard of
workmanship and finishing is second to none. I look
forward to many more years’ association with the
company whose expertise I have come to trust."
– Andrew Cheatham, Technical Manager
Understanding that the aesthetics of your project can be as important
as your audio, beyerdynamic has introduced two innovative new products.
Revoluto is discreet microphone technology with integral speakers but without
goosenecks designed for on-wall or in-wall installation and Novasonar invisible
speakers which deliver great audio replication without the traditional
black boxes.
