Furniture Range
The ingenious Academy system is built around three basic metalwork elements – a 16U rack frame, a 13U rack frame (that fits below standard desks and tables) and a leg assembly in right- or left-handed versions. Other options include a motorised frame that provides lecterns or desks with a rise and fall section, complying with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act. This can be manufactured in various designs.
The unprecedented flexibility of the range lies in its sheer simplicity. Any number of the basic units can be assembled together – from a single or double mobile cabinet or lectern to a complete, versatile lecture theatre or classroom console. It provides bespoke furniture to meet any requirement or fit any space, combining style and durability with the features and finish of the highest quality.
A matching range of folding tables has also been developed, enabling an entire room to be equipped and furnished to a fully coordinated standard of quality and style. This is further complemented by the Saville Academy table range, comprising folding school tables in a choice of shapes and heights.

Options
Matching TablesThe Academy concept includes a matching range of strong folding tables in three formats, available in the same choice of finishes as the cabinets. The tables fold, move and park easily and enable many different room layouts to be configured with a minimum of fuss.
Finishescademy’s powder coated steel framework can be combined real wood veneered or laminated tops in many attractive finishes. The range is also available in a hardwearing coated finish matched exactly to any PANTONE or RAL colour, to complement existing décor or any corporate colour scheme.
Fittings
In addition to projectors, screens and audio equipment, the systems feature AMX Mio controllers, interfaced with SMART Podium widescreen interactive tablets and Elmo visualisers.
At Weatherhead High School we undertook the rebuild of the audio visual system in the main hall which had become unreliable due to overheating issues. We replaced or repaired equipment and rebuilt the racks in the control room into new 16U and13U Academy cabinets, configured so that all the staff can use the system rather than just the AV technician.
As a high profile Media Arts College, the school has some exceptional AV equipment in the hall including one of the first Saville installations of Sennheiser's new G3 radio microphone systems.
